A President Run Amok

Does the US government have the right to knock your door down and slap your wife around then grab your kids and ship them to Ubekistan for interrogation? A constitutional lawyer named  Glenn Greenwald thinks so and has written a book called How Would a Patriot Act? Defending American Values from a President Run Amok. Quick access to his ideas can be heard  here in this clip from the Al Franken Show on Air America. Essentially, the administrations interprets the Constitution as saying that the President can do what he thinks is necessary using “signing statements” as his authority to violate existing law.
